I have over 20 years’ experience working with children and young people, I have spent the past working therapeutically, covering a broad range of ages (5-19 years) and mental health issues; specialising in anxiety and depression.

To ensure the best therapeutic approach is undertaken, I use an integrative style, incorporating a range of modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy and use of the arts. This approach ensures that a bespoke package is developed that is suitable for each young person.

I begin all interventions by getting to know the young person to help them feel at ease and comfortable accessing a service. Although this can initially feel a bit daunting to some young people, Michelle’s experience means she makes even the most nervous clients feel comfortable to share their stories.

I believe that young people should be in the driving seat of their own therapy with the therapist being there to guide, support and empower them on their journey to feeling better in themselves.
