About
Neelam Gosai is an experienced integrative psychotherapist (Accred). As a valuable member of the therapy team at both Barnt Green and Woodbourne, she engages with clients in both group and one-to-one settings, focusing on the general psychiatric and addictions inpatient wards.
Through the use of humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and transactional analysis (TA), she has experience supporting individuals feeling stuck, anxious or weighed down by experiences, relationships, cultural pressures, and works with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, loss, addictions or boundaries.
In line with the BACP ethical framework, she offers a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, safe, understood, supported as they heal old wounds and develop healthier patterns, clarity and confidence. This work involves exploring their past, making sense of their present and move toward a future that feels authentic and fulfilling, by finding meaning and goal setting.
Her training as a yoga instructor enriches her work with a somatic approach that encourages grounding, presence and emotional regulation. This blend of holistic approaches encourages deeper self-understanding while offering practical, everyday tools for growth and change. With a strong background in South Asian community settings, Neelam works sensitively with issues such as domestic violence, honour-based abuse, family dynamics and cultural expectations, helping clients feel grounded, validated and empowered to live more authentically, free from fear, guilt, or the weight of others' expectations.
