Pamela Roberts

Pamela has worked at Priory Hospital Woking since 2009 and was appointed the addiction programme manager in 2014. Pamela is a member of Priory’s addiction service line as part of a specialised team ensuring delivery of the highest quality treatment. 

Pamela's role involves managing the team and the continuous development of the programme. Pamela meets with people who are considering treatment, and during their stay she works with the patients in the therapy groups, individual sessions and family sessions.

Pamela’s role is both managerial and therapeutic; reporting to the Hospital Director, her role involves a coordinated approach to addiction treatment, the addictions therapy team and medical team.

Pamela is an accredited member of the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals and is a member of the British Psychology Society.

Training

Throughout her years as a psychotherapist, Pamela has continued her studies, most recently with NAOS Institute, Bath University and currently with Metanoia.

Since 2004 I’ve been working with individuals, couples, families and groups as a psychotherapist. I have a developed knowledge with addictions and in trauma therapy, and also group processes and conflict resolution. With over 16 years of experience and research, I’ve continued to focus on the deep psychological shifts people need to make for their well-being.

My therapeutic orientation now combines and integrates a relational and systemic approach, and I draw upon psychodynamic, behavioural, gestalt and other humanistic approaches.
