
Penny Vlachou
Penny Vlachou is a specialist eating disorders dietitian and has been working for the Priory Hospital Glasgow for over 5 years. Penny is a member of the HCPC, BDA (British Dietetic Association) and the Mental Health Group of Dietitians.
Dietitians have a key role in the management of clients who suffer disordered eating. Penny has a friendly and empathetic approach in assisting patients through the complex and long route of recovery from an eating disorder, aiming to help individuals progress to a healthier physical state and a better relationship with food and physical activity.
Training
Penny has completed her Dietetic training in Greece, which was followed by a Master's degree in Human Nutrition with specialisation in Obesity and Weight Management, in Glasgow. Penny also recently completed a Postgraduate degree in Eating Disorders at Leeds Beckett University, which enhanced her knowledge in terms of applying CBT and other psychological therapies in her clinical practice.
