About

Rachael is an experienced cognitive behavioural psychotherapist and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. She has over 11 years of mental health experience in the NHS and as a private practitioner. Rachael is highly skilled at working with a range of mental health conditions such as depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Rachael obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy at the University of Manchester. She has attended lectures by the leading experts in mental health such as Professor David M Clark CBE, Professor Paul Salkovskis, Professor David Veale, Dr Kevin JM Meares and Dr Deborah Lee. Her EMDR qualification was accredited by EMDR Europe, led by Dr Michael Paterson OBE.

Rachael feels passionately about the relationships she builds with her clients and believes that making them feel relaxed, not judged and having a safe space to talk is of the utmost importance. Rachael supported clients in reaching 100% clinical recovery from 2021-2022, with outstanding feedback.

If you are motivated and determined to develop an understanding of the patterns you are in, Rachael can help you build the coping strategies you will need to reduce your distress and psychological difficulty to meet with your own therapeutic goals.

Rachael joined Priory in 2021 as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner, alongside running her own private practice and having spent 10 years within the NHS. Prior to her career as a psychotherapist, she was an international account director and understands the pressure of a corporate career also.
