From 2013, Samiyya gained considerable amount of experience in the full range of mental health issues within the adult sector. She worked in secondary settings for many different areas such as forensic, Personality Disorder, In-patient acute/ PICU wards, rehabilitation units and neurological/ brain injury conditions as a Health Care Professional.

Then, in 2016, Samiyya had a transition to primary setting and been delivering psychological therapy of CBT in various different IAPT services. One of the services she had worked for was South West London and St George’s Mental health NHS Trust, which had expanded her clinical knowledge and become fully equipped to deal with the high volume of complex difficulties. 

After gaining the above experience in the mix range of primary to secondary settings for Mental health problems. She was ready to move onto the private sector. During 2020, Samiyya had started to work as an Accredited CBT Therapist for Priory Organisation.

Samiyya’s main therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to provide assessment and treatment interventions, although her level of depth has a strong inclination towards attachment and family dynamics. Moreover, she is flexible in using the third wave approaches such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focus Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to accommodate to her patient’s needs.
