Sara Turner

Sara Turner joined Priory Wellbeing Centre in Oxford at the end of 2016. She is a fully accredited member of United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a registered psychotherapeutic counsellor, subscribing to UKCP (Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA)) published code of ethics.

Training

Sara graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Psychoanalytic Infant Observational Studies, at the Tavistock Clinic London/Birmingham Trust for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, in 2008. She then continued clinical training alongside her Master of Studies in Psychodynamic Practice at Oxford University, graduating in 2012.

Sara has significant NHS experience working for psychological services with adults (in Oxford) and with adolescents in school settings (in Birmingham), offering both long and short-term work with individuals who have varying difficulties, which may be long-endured and complicated.

Her work has also included seven years’ experience with individuals, parents, and groups in children’s centres and early intervention services.

Through understanding at your own pace, and recognising your difficulties, you can bring about changes to keep long term.

I’m always striving to continue to improve my own professional learning and development, so I can keep delivering the best care possible to those coming for treatment. I aim to offer genuine warmth, space, and confidentiality throughout our work together.
