About
I qualified as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist 15 years ago, and initially worked in the prison service before joining Priory in 2014. I work with clients who present with depression and anxiety disorders across the adult mental health services, with practice that meets ethical guidelines and a professional code of conduct.
Since qualifying as a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist, I have developed an interest in helping clients with trauma, which is why I have also completed training in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and schema therapy. This has helped to augment my clinical practice and help my clients to have a more fulfilling life, despite their past experiences.
Position at Priory
Over the past 5 years, I have worked as senior cognitive behavioural therapist, providing supervision to therapists and students on the CBT programme, to British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) level of accreditation.
I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), BABCP and a member of the EMDR association.
