Simon Lambert
Addictions Therapist
Simon Lambert

Simon Lambert is an addiction therapist at Priory Hospital Woking. Here, he facilitates group therapy on the 28-day inpatient addiction treatment programme, delivering workshops and educational groups as well as facilitating process groups and individual assignment based groups. Simon also provides one-to-one therapy to inpatients and outpatients.

His work is rooted in the psychology and science of addiction. He works with an integrative approach, bringing together a combined approach to psychotherapy, taking a view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations, but there are common themes in the addictive process and the treatment of it.

Position at Priory

Simon Lambert is currently an addiction therapist at Priory Hospital Woking. He has been working in this role since February 2020 and had previously worked on the general therapy programme for one year as a therapy assistant. Simon also has experience working on the acute male and female wards at the hospital, having been with Priory since August 2016.

Training

Simon has an advanced diploma in addiction psychology and counselling and an MSc in addiction psychology and counselling from London Southbank University

Simon is accredited by the drug and alcohol professional body, the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners (FDAP) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
