About
Skye Mariam is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an experienced cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and integrative psychotherapist. Besides having run her private practice for a number of years, Skye joined Priory in 2025, where she has been working as a psychotherapist, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health challenges. Skye is also one of the therapists who help run group therapy programmes at Priory Hospital Glasgow. She runs groups on CBT for anxiety, and CBT for self-esteem.
Skye offers a compassionate, thoughtful and collaborative therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences, understand themselves more deeply, and develop meaningful change. Her work is grounded in CBT while drawing from an integrative framework that incorporates person-centred, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based approaches. This allows therapy to be tailored to each individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
Skye believes that lasting change comes from both understanding patterns of thinking and reconnecting with deeper emotional and relational experiences. Her approach therefore combines practical tools with deeper reflective work, helping clients make sense of their past while building healthier ways of relating to themselves and others in the present.
In her work, Skye supports clients with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, low self-esteem and relationship challenges. She works in a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive way, recognising the importance of identity, personal values, and spiritual frameworks in psychological wellbeing.
Her therapeutic style is warm, reflective, and grounded in creating a safe environment where clients feel heard, respected and empowered to move towards greater wellbeing.
