About

The combination of art and therapy can enable you to address issues from a different perspective. Art therapy combines counselling with the creative process. This process can can facilitate a connection to feelings or thoughts, which may seem too complex or confusing to put into words. An image or sculpture can hold the feelings someone is experiencing, so that emotions may seem less overwhelming and more manageable

Stella provides a supportive environment, seeking to enable each person coming to sessions to find a way of using art that is suited to them.

If you’ve found that talking alone doesn’t lead to a resolution of your issues and symptoms, it’s possible that art may provide a way of getting to the heart of the issue. The process of making art can be enjoyable and can make therapy more accessible.

Art therapy can provide support in resolving issues related to trauma, loss, or emotions that may currently feel overwhelming. Sessions may also enable you to discover your strengths.

Stella has worked both privately and in the NHS for 15 years.
