About

With over 20 years of experience as a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT), Thomas specialises in treating a wide range of anxiety and mood disorders. Having delivered approximately 15,000-16,000 hours of therapy, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to every session.
For 15 years, Thomas worked within the NHS, where he honed his skills in CBT. Currently, he provides supervision in NHS Scotland two days a month, alongside working for Priory.

Thomas believes that effective therapy starts with truly listening to and understanding the individual. He offers a non-pressurised, comfortable space where clients can explore their difficulties at their own pace. Although primarily trained in CBT, Thomas draws upon various therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions to the unique needs of each client.

The first session with Thomas is an opportunity to establish comfort and begin identifying the issues that are causing difficulty. Whether through an informal chat or via email, he ensures that the initial meeting sets the foundation for a supportive and personalised therapeutic journey.

In an increasingly complex world, Thomas understands that therapy must be personalised, not standardised. He is committed to finding the most effective ways to help each individual, combining different therapeutic techniques to suit the client's specific needs, ensuring that every session is as unique as the person seeking help.
