About
Dr Triveni Joshi is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience, including more than 14 years dedicated exclusively to the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.
Her practice is grounded in a holistic, person-centred approach, integrating thoughtful medication management, psychological formulation, and a deep understanding of each child’s social, emotional and developmental context.
Dr Joshi has extensive expertise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma-related difficulties, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism.
She has worked across the full continuum of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), including community CAMHS, specialist residential and education settings, general adolescent units (GAUs), CAMHS psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), and low secure services. This breadth of experience provides her with a nuanced understanding of the challenges young people face across different levels of need and care.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Joshi has held substantial leadership and governance responsibilities, including roles as medical director and CAMHS medical lead. She has led on workforce development, clinical supervision, service improvement and multidisciplinary governance, with a consistent focus on safe, outcome-focused, developmentally-informed care.
