About
Zoe Dale is an eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and registered occupational therapist (Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)) with over 25 years’ experience working with adults, children and families across a wide range of trauma presentations and complex mental health difficulties.
Zoe has a specialist interest in childhood trauma, complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including trauma triggered by critical incidents in the workplace and wider society. She has worked across adult and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) within the NHS, as well as in independent healthcare settings, and practises at Priory Wimbledon Park Clinic.
Zoe also has a particular interest in workplace wellbeing, supporting individuals with trauma and mental health needs to maintain and enhance their functioning at work. Alongside her clinical practice, Zoe is an executive coach (EMCC senior practitioner), integrating a trauma-informed approach into her coaching, and learning and development work.
Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in an understanding of how life experiences, relationships and wider systems influence responses to and recovery from trauma. Zoe trained in EMDR to ensure a safe, effective and evidence-based treatment for trauma, for those in her care.
Zoe works with clients at their own pace to process distressing experiences, supporting the development of emotional regulation and confidence in managing difficult feelings. Her EMDR practice is client-led and tailored to individual needs and best interests.
In addition to her clinical work, Zoe has held senior roles in staff wellbeing and leadership development, including leading a postgraduate education programme. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led an assessment team within an NHS staff wellbeing hub, further developing her expertise in stress, burnout and the impact of organisational systems on mental health. She has also delivered national training programmes in child mental health and staff wellbeing across multiple sectors.
Zoe is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and non-judgemental therapeutic space. She values difference and works to meet each individual without assumption or expectation. She has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and brings lived experience of dyslexia to her practice, with a strong focus on inclusive and affirming care.
