Priory offers quick access to tailored and proven private treatment programmes, for patients who need support for mental health and addiction challenges.
Treatment programmes
Outpatient treatment
Outpatient treatment consists of patients attending one of our Priory sites to receive therapy for their mental health concerns, which are usually hourly sessions that take place on a weekly basis. Outpatient therapy can be delivered at our hospital locations as well as through our extensive Priory wellbeing centre network.
You can find out more about Priory's outpatient services here.
Day care
Day care programmes are characterised by patients attending a Priory hospital for a set number of full or half-days each week, to undergo therapy for their mental health challenges.
Day care can be used in the treatment of a wide array of mental health problems, including addictions, eating disorders and mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and stress, and is particularly useful for people who don't need intensive 24-hour care for their mental health concerns, but still require some level of structured, ongoing support.

Inpatient treatment
Inpatient treatment at Priory consists of patients staying at one of our hospital locations on a residential basis for a certain length of time, to undergo intensive treatment for their mental health challenges. We offer inpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), a variety of addictions as part of our addiction treatment programmes, as well as eating disorders, when more intensive treatment is required. We also offer inpatient young people's services at Priory Hospital Roehampton and Priory Hospital Chelmsford.
Online therapy
Carrying out therapy sessions online is more popular than ever, with studies showing that online therapy has the same positive outcomes as face-to-face therapy. The convenience, privacy and accessibility of taking appointments from the comfort of home are all matched by the effectiveness of treatment. Our online therapy service has been scored 4 out of 5 or higher by 100% of users, with 96% of our clients stating that they were happy with the quality of care.

We have specialist hospitals that can provide a full range of treatment, including more intensive residential support. Our network of wellbeing centres offers a less clinical setting than a hospital, for those seeking outpatient support.
