- Tailored recommendations
Mental health challenges can affect the way you think, feel and behave. For some people, these feelings go away naturally but for others, these negative emotions can become worse over time. However, mental health conditions are treatable and it’s possible for you to make a full recovery – the most important step is to get help.
At Priory, we offer two options to determine the best treatment route for you. These are:
Our digital pathway starts with an online questionnaire powered by Psyomics.
The online questionnaire allows you to share information about your mental health status with healthcare professionals. It combines multiple choice clinical questions with free text responses, to describe things in your own words, enabling you to share your experiences in a structured way with our team.
After you complete the questionnaire, a senior clinician will review your responses within 48 hours and recommend a suitable treatment pathway.
Please note, this pathway does not include a written report. We do not exclude anyone with a learning disability, including Down’s syndrome; however, the questionnaire requires the ability to read and write in English and to understand the questions. If you are concerned about your mental health or feel a diagnosis may be needed, we recommend booking a Mental Health Assessment with one of our Consultants.

In addition, we also offer mental health assessments with a specialist, for adults and young people.
The adult assessment costs £99 and provides a 45-minute virtual or face-to-face session with tailored recommendations and access to our wellbeing app. You can book through our online portal, Priory Together.
The young people’s assessment costs £186 and includes a 60-minute session split between the child and parent or carer, with a therapist report to guide next steps.
We offer private mental health assessments for adults, that provide quick access to an experienced mental health professional.
During this assessment, we’ll explore your specific concerns, helping you gain a clearer understanding of your mental health and guiding you towards the most suitable treatment options. This approach allows eligible clients to receive tailored support without delay.
The session won’t provide a diagnosis or treatment for your mental health concerns. Rather, it will allow us to develop an understanding of the challenges you’re currently facing, and provide a recommendation for next steps based on what’s right for you. This could include direct access to talking therapy and counselling, including psychological therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), that can be delivered face-to-face or online.
Our assessments are delivered virtually or face-to-face at a time that suits you.

Our young people's mental health assessment is for children and teenagers aged 7 to 17.
The assessment will be split into two parts. During the first part, we'll speak to the young person on their own, and during the second part, we'll speak to the young person and their parent(s)/carer(s).
During the session, the therapist will be able to identify the presenting issue(s). We can use this, as well as any other information provided during the session, to make a recommendation for further treatment.
