The Life Works environment is welcoming and friendly, just like our staff, and it is supportive and therapeutic in every way. We offer Priory’s only residential private eating disorders service, including supporting male clients, who often find accessing support challenging. Transform 28
Transform 28 is Priory’s most comprehensive inpatient addiction treatment programme.
At Priory, we offer this structured 28-day programme to help you take meaningful steps towards recovery in a safe and supportive environment. You’ll receive a medically assisted detox, if needed, and take part in regular one-to-one and group therapy sessions. You’ll also be supported by a consultant psychiatrist and have access to a range of holistic wellbeing activities, while you’re with us, designed to support both your mental and physical health.
We also provide family support throughout your stay, and once you leave, you’ll benefit from 12 months of free aftercare to help you maintain your progress and stay connected.
Foundations 16
Foundations 16 is Priory’s blended inpatient detox and day care addiction treatment programme.
At Priory, we offer this structured 4-week programme to support your recovery through a combination of inpatient support and group-based day care sessions. Your treatment begins with a 7 to 10-day medically assisted detox in a safe and supportive environment, followed by 9 structured day care sessions designed to help you develop practical strategies for long-term recovery.
You’ll be supported by experienced therapists and benefit from specialist psychological input, weekly family support sessions, and 12 months of free aftercare to help you stay connected and maintain progress after your stay.
Reset 7/10
Reset 7/10 is Priory’s medically assisted detox programme.
Taking place over 7 to 10 days, depending on your individual needs, this inpatient programme is designed to help you safely withdraw from alcohol or drugs, with specialist support to manage withdrawal symptoms and keep you as comfortable as possible.
At Priory, detox takes place in a dedicated, therapeutic environment under the care of our experienced team. You'll receive continuous monitoring and personalised care to support your physical and emotional wellbeing throughout.
This focused, short-term stay helps to stabilise your health and prepare you for the next stage of your recovery.
Anchor 1:1
Anchor 1:1 is Priory’s flexible outpatient addiction therapy programme.
At Priory, we offer one-to-one outpatient therapy sessions designed to help you manage the thoughts, emotions and behaviours linked to addiction. This personalised support gives you the space to explore challenges, build healthy coping strategies and work towards long-term recovery.
Sessions are usually delivered once a week and can take place either online or face-to-face – depending on what works best for you. With a format that fits around your life, Anchor 1:1 is ideal for people seeking ongoing support without a residential stay, or for anyone stepping down from more intensive treatment who would benefit from continued therapeutic input.
Free, same-day therapy assessments
At Life Works, we’re pleased to be able to offer free, same-day therapy assessments for potential eating disorder and addiction clients.
Our eating disorder and addiction therapy assessments will take place over the phone or via video call with a member of our specialist therapy team. The assessment will consist of:
- A discussion around the issues you’re currently facing
- Exploring how you’re feeling on a daily basis
- Exploring whether you have any additional mental or physical health concerns
- An assessment of whether our residential programme would be suitable for you, based on your individual needs
- A chance for you to ask any questions you might have on our treatment programme
Inpatient eating disorder treatment in Surrey
At Life Works, our market-leading eating disorder treatment programme provides effective treatment for a number of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED), other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED) and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
Our high quality eating disorder treatment team focuses on the psychological, social, behavioural and physical sides of your condition. We'll support you to develop healthier eating habits, learn coping strategies to help you to deal with negative emotions, and prevent relapse. We use a range of tried and tested therapeutic interventions to help achieve these goals, all of which are evidence-based and have been found to be effective in promoting a sustainable recovery from these debilitating conditions.
Our tried and tested eating disorder programme offers flexibility, including 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42-day programmes (longer if needed) and is suitable for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 14.5 and over.
The programme includes:
- A free eating disorder assessment, helping us to understand your symptoms better. This initial assessment consists of dietetic, therapeutic and GP assessments. Same day, free assessments are available
- Inpatient, day care or outpatient treatment options
- A comprehensive family programme for clients who stay with us for 28 days or more
- Free aftercare for 12 months for clients who stay with us for 28 days or more
- Tailored meal plans
- Activities and therapy sessions to help overcome dietary challenges
- Support and therapy for co-occurring mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression

Can mental health problems be treated too?
At Life Works, we understand that addictions and eating disorders may be triggered and intensified by underlying mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress. As such, we are also able to treat dual diagnoses at Life Works, in order to address the root cause of your problems, as well as empowering you to overcome your addiction or eating disorder. If you need more intensive mental health treatment for a primary diagnosis of one of these conditions, we have close clinical links with Priory Hospital Woking, and are able to facilitate a seamless transfer.
How much does treatment cost?
The cost of treatment can vary at Life Works depending on the intensity of treatment you need and how long the treatment is. The cost of treatment will be tailored to meet the needs of each individual.

There are two ways you can pay to receive addiction and eating disorder treatment at Life Works:

What about my family?
Family members are welcomed into an ‘outstanding' family support programme when their relative enters a 28-day inpatient treatment programme with us. The family programme is specific to each person and will be discussed with your therapist during your stay.
