Priory Hospital Bristol

Priory Hospital Bristol is one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of individuals, families and couples facing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. We can offer fast access to treatment for a number of mental health concerns, including:

COVID-19: Customer update

To protect both patients and staff, we are not currently offering face-to-face therapy on an outpatient or day care basis at our hospitals or wellbeing centres. Assessments and therapy can still be accessed remotely via our Priory Connect online therapy service and through Skype.

Inpatient services are still available across our network of private healthcare hospitals, with flexible options for pre-admission assessments being offered.

We are still able to offer expert inpatient addiction treatment during this time and many of our addiction services, including our free addiction assessment, are now taking place online or over the phone. For more information on Priory’s approach to addiction treatment during the current COVID-19 outbreak, please access our dedicated page.

Continued support during the coronavirus outbreak

Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Rachel Harland, discusses the hard work taking place at Bristol to remain open to providing mental health support to those in need. She explains how GPs can still refer into the hospital and the adjustments they have made during the outbreak, to ensure patients and staff are kept safe and well.

Located within a secluded area of Bristol, Priory Hospital Bristol offers a tranquil setting, within a beautiful Grade II listed building and expansive, private grounds. We continually strive to provide recovery-focused therapy and evidence-based treatment in a calming and therapeutic environment, allowing you to overcome your challenges and return to a positive, healthy and fulfilling way of life.

As a recognised training hospital, Bristol is an ideal place for treating patients with complex disorders, including those who may not have responded to previous treatment, and we can guarantee that our comprehensive, patient-centred treatment programmes are guided by the very latest psychological research. Our high quality treatment programmes are delivered by an experienced team of leading psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and mental health nurses, who are committed to working together to provide excellent mental health and addiction treatment. We also ensure that treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each patient, within an individualised programme of therapy, in order to produce the best possible outcomes for each individual who seeks support with us.

It is important to recognise that without effective, professional help, your mental health and addiction challenges have the potential to become gradually worse over time, and can have a destructive impact on all areas of your life, health and wellbeing. However, the good news is that mental health conditions are treatable, and the most crucial first step is to seek help. At Priory Hospital Bristol we ensure that you have access to every resource that you need in order to achieve recovery, regain control of your life and enjoy the positive and productive future that you deserve.
