Priory Hospital North London
Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands. It is one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of a wide range of mental health difficulties including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Since North London first opened its doors in 1986, we have worked tirelessly to establish our excellent reputation as a specialist provider of mental health care. We are able to offer fast access to expert treatment for adults and young people between the ages of 12 and 18.
COVID-19: Customer update
To protect both patients and staff, we are not currently offering face-to-face therapy on an outpatient or day care basis at our hospitals or wellbeing centres. Assessments and therapy can still be accessed remotely via our Priory Connect online therapy service and through Skype.
Inpatient services are still available across our network of private healthcare hospitals, with flexible options for pre-admission assessments being offered.
We are still able to offer expert inpatient addiction treatment during this time and many of our addiction services, including our free addiction assessment, are now taking place online or over the phone. For more information on Priory’s approach to addiction treatment during the current COVID-19 outbreak, please access our dedicated page.
Continued support during the coronavirus outbreak
Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Leon Rozewicz, offers advice and support to GPs looking to refer patients for mental health or addiction support. He talks to us about the services available at North London, how they have adapted to the COVID-19 outbreak and explains how they are ready to accept more admissions.
As a recognised university teaching hospital, we can guarantee that our comprehensive, patient-centred treatment programmes are always up-to-date with the latest psychological research in the field of addictions and mental health. Our evidence-based interventions at North London are delivered by leading psychiatrists, counselling, clinical and consultant psychologists, and other highly trained mental health specialists. This multidisciplinary approach allows for a personalised package of therapy to be delivered to our patients, ensuring that you are placed at the heart of your treatment journey and involved in all decisions regarding your care.
In addition, we are also able to provide equine therapy at Priory Hospital North London, as part of our 28-day Addiction Treatment Programme. Equine therapy is an experiential and holistic therapeutic approach that involves you working alongside a horse, your therapist and an expert horse handler. You can find out more about this specialist offering on our equine assisted therapy page.
