About this location
Dashwood is a supported living service, which provides support to six people who are autistic or have a learning disability. We can also support people who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or epilepsy.
We are located in High Wycombe, a market town in the Buckinghamshire. The home is part of Priory Supported Living London & Home Counties, falls within the Buckinghamshire Council local authority area and is managed by the housing provider, Greymount Properties Limited.
At Dashwood, we are committed to reflecting the guidance of The Reach Standards in everything we do. This means we work with our tenants to ensure they receive the right support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

About our service
Our facilities and environment
Dashwood is comprised of two separate buildings. The main building consists of six self-contained flats for tenants, three of which are on the ground floor. There is a communal courtyard area for tenants to enjoy. The second building contains the office, staff/visitor toilet, and sleep-in facilities for staff.
Our flats
All of our flats are comfortable, welcoming and can be personalised to individual tastes. Each flat has its own bedroom, bathroom and either open-plan or separate kitchen and living room areas.
Parking
There are three off-road parking spaces for staff and visitors, which are located at the back of the property. In addition, there is further available parking at the front of the property and along the road.
Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Dashwood has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and domestic tasks.
In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes:
- Autism awareness training
- Epilepsy awareness training
- Buccal midazolam administration training
Activities
Everyone who lives at Dashwood is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
This includes supporting tenants to attend:
- Social clubs in the local area, such as the Gateway club
- Facilities which help them engage in their hobbies and interests, such as the cinema, gym, swimming, bowling alley, animal centre, sensory centres, adult learning
- Activities and events in surrounding areas, including Aylesbury, Reading and Windsor

A message from our site leader
Our tenants are encouraged to be as independent as possible, try new things and step out of their comfort zone. The people who live here are included in the continuous improvement of the care they receive, as feedback from them and their families is always taken into account
