Stepney Rise is a supported living service in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. We provide support for males and females aged 18 to 65 who have a learning disability, physical disability, or autism diagnosis. The property is designed to enable residents to live as independently as possible, while receiving tailored support.

About our service
Our facilities and environment
Nine apartments provide a safe and comfortable environment. Facilities include:
- Spacious apartments with communal lounge on first floor
- Open plan kitchen
- Bathrooms with either a shower or bath
- A secure and private rear garden for each apartment
- Staff hub area

Our approach to support
Each resident at Stepney Rise has a care plan created with input from them, their families, and professionals. We aim to help everyone make choices about their support, including community access, and control of lifestyle. We also embed the REACH standards in our practice.
Our support approaches include:
- Positive behaviour support (PBS)
- Personal goal planning
- Life skills development, such as meal preparation and managing personal hygiene
- Community access, and support with independent travel
- Access to therapeutic and planned interventions
We also use tools such as the Outcomes Star™ to help residents achieve their goals.

Our dedicated and experienced team is made up of staff trained in positive behaviour support (PBS) and autism awareness. We provide:
- 24-hour background staffing, including waking night staff
- Staff trained to meet residents' needs and ensure high-quality support

How does home leave work?
We facilitate home visits and leave with the resident’s consent
Can friends and family visit?
Yes, visits are encouraged. We recommend advance notice to minimise disruption to other residents
How are care plans developed?
Care plans are co-produced with residents, families, and support networks to ensure tailored support
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the property
What are the fees and funding options?
Fees vary based on individual assessments. Many residents are eligible for financial assistance through local authorities. Priory works with referrers to create bespoke care packages
What activities are available?
Residents have personalised activity plans and are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities on-site and in the community. Group sessions, such as CV building and budgeting workshops, are also available
How are behavioural needs supported?
Our PBS practitioner develops bespoke support plans. Staff are trained in strategies such as PROACT-SCIPr-UK® to ensure the least restrictive practice
