About this location

Veron Park is a supported living service, offering support for eight people who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability.

We are located in St John’s, a small suburb of Worcester, England, lying west of the city centre and the River Severn. We are situated down a quiet street, around 15 minutes’ walk from the town centre.

The service forms part of Priory Supported Living The Shires, falls within the Worcester County Council local authority area and is managed by the housing provider, Trinity Housing Association. Our specialist team support our tenants to live as independently as possible and enable them to access community activities in a safe way.

At Veron Park, we are committed to reflecting the guidance of The Reach Standards in everything we do. This means we work with our tenants to ensure they receive the right support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Our approach to support

Everybody who lives at Veron Park has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members, and professionals.

We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and domestic tasks.

Our support approaches at Veron Park include specialist support for people with epilepsy. In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes:

  • Buccal Midazolam training

Everyone who lives at Veron Park is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.

We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.

We support our tenants to attend local activities, including:

  • Local clubs
  • Social nights
  • Sports centre
  • Variety of day centres

Through our network of healthcare, residential and supported living facilities, we provide unique care pathways which enable the people we support to progress towards greater independence. Every individual we support is provided with a bespoke pathway plan, tailored according to their individual needs. We aim to ensure that each person is supported to live a fulfilling and active life in the community.
