  • Priory has been shortlisted for Specialist Services Provider of the Year at the Health Investor Awards 2026
  • The nomination reflects Priory’s further progress in strengthening quality and outcomes for patients and residents
  • Winners will be announced on 9 June 2026 at Grosvenor House in London.

Priory has been shortlisted for Specialist Services Provider of the Year at the Health Investor Awards 2026 in recognition of its achievements throughout 2025.

Priory is the largest independent provider of mental health, addiction rehabilitation and working-age adult social care services in the UK, supporting more than 24,000 people each year across 270 sites nationwide.

The Specialist Services Provider of the Year category recognises both achievements and innovation by providers supporting public and/or private healthcare with single or dual specialist services.

The shortlist reflects a year of progress for Priory, with services maintaining strong regulatory performance while continuing to strengthen quality improvement at scale.

Across Priory, 89% of services are currently rated ‘Good’ or better by independent regulators, with no ‘Inadequate’ ratings.

Priory also reported progress in workforce stability despite a challenging national picture, with overall staff turnover down from 24.1% to 20.7%, supported by a continued focus on leadership, engagement and clear development pathways for colleagues.

Alongside this, the organisation continued to develop services and pathways to support timely access and effective step-down into the community, aligned with NHS priorities set out in the 10-Year Health Plan.

During the year, Priory Hospital Burton Park began its transition to a specialist mental health residential unit, now Melton Place. The first Priory Flourish service also launched at Eden House, expanding therapy led residential support for addiction.

Across 2025, 86% of acute patients and 89% of residents in specialist services reported improved mental wellbeing, alongside 94% family satisfaction.

Rebekah Cresswell, Chief Executive Officer of Priory, said: “We are proud to be shortlisted for Specialist Services Provider of the Year. This recognition reflects the commitment of colleagues across Priory to deliver high quality care in complex and often challenging circumstances.

“In 2025 we made further progress in strengthening quality and outcomes, improving workforce stability and continuing to evolve services to better support people and help them live their lives. I want to thank our teams for the compassion, professionalism and drive they bring to their work every day.”

Winners will be announced on 9 June 2026 at Grosvenor House in London.
