Training and workforce planning arrangements: HELDEN HOMES LIMITED
Arrangements in place during the last financial year for identifying, planning and meeting the training needs of staff employed by the service provider.We arrange training for the staff according to the needs of the service users. During staff supervision we discuss the staff about their training requirements and facilitate the trainings according to the staff request. we use internal and external trainers to train the staff at Mount Eveswell. Robust training programme in place for all employees which is monitored weekly - this provides face to face training and also E learning modules. All training is in line with mandatory requirements.
Arrangements in place during the last financial year for the recruitment and retention of staff employed by the service provider.We recruit in line with safe practices for open and fair completion. Candidates complete applications and are interviewed against a scorable criteria. On appointment we perform Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks to ensure candidates do not have a history of offenses that would make them unsuitable for working in care. We also complete reference Checks: Obtain references from previous employers to verify candidates' work history and performance. This includes international police check

As part of our continued engagement, resident 1-1 meetings have taken place either as a group or individually, monthly care plan reviews have been rolled out and this supports meeting with family members, professionals or advocates to discuss the service and care delivery to their loved one, , in addition satisfaction surveys have been completed yearly with residents, relatives and employees to collate key detail for our 2025 objective plan to continue to improve communication.

Care Inspectorate Wales inspected our service during the reporting period and highlighted areas where we needed to strengthen our approach to meet the required standards under section 27(1) of the 2016 Act.
