All members of staff and service users are invited to be part of the Recovery College and this has led to some great collaborative working across different disciplines and departments at Kneesworth House.

Kneesworth House Hospital’s Recovery College is facilitated and run by core members of our dedicated staff team.

Dylan Tibbs, Education Co-ordinator

Dylan is one of our education co-ordinators at Kneesworth House, and works across the site providing service users with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in subjects such as English, Maths and IT. Dylan also supports many of our patients to engage with other meaningful occupations such as music, development of our quarterly ‘Look Up’ patients magazine, and many sporting events. Dylan has been involved in the development of the Recovery College here at Kneesworth House and plays an integral role in ensuring that the Recovery College is focused on our service users.

Angela Howard, Lead Practitioner Occupational Therapist

Angela is the lead practitioner occupational therapist for our Secure Services, as well as being Recovery College lead. Angela provides occupational therapy input to the learning disability, male mental illness and personality disorder services, supporting patients to meet their individual goals and build life skills. As part of her role, Angela also supports others members of the employment and vocational opportunities (EVOs) and occupational therapy team to develop Recovery College courses, as well as facilitating courses herself.

EVOs and occupational therapy team

A number of EVOs and occupational therapy team members support the Recovery College here at Kneesworth House, in co-facilitating courses with service users.
