About

Having received training in a number of modalities over the years, Benjamin has specialised in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and is able to support clients presenting with a range of difficulties that are both acute and chronic.

Benjamin is experienced in working with clients presenting with a range of anxiety disorders and has worked extensively with clients presenting with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), as part of an NHS specialist inpatient service, supporting individuals with OCD, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and other obsessive-compulsive related disorders. Benjamin is also experienced in treating clients presenting with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and more complex presentations including personality disorders and symptoms of self-injurious and suicidal behaviour.

Benjamin offers a structured cognitive behavioural approach wherein an individualised formulation of the client’s personal difficulties is used to inform the use of empirically validated models, for specific disorders. Benjamin has also received training in and is able to utilise both dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and compassion focused therapy (CFT), in supporting his clients.
