About

I have been in my own personal recovery for over 10 years now and I am very passionate about working with individuals struggling with addiction, helping facilitate their own path to recovery. Being an addictions therapist is highly rewarding. Working with people who are in crisis and despair is a privilege for me.

Position at Priory

Celia Harris completed her level 4 diploma in integrative counselling in 2017 at Stockport College. She went on to gain further qualifications specialising in addiction, before joining Priory later on that year. Celia is currently studying EMDR therapy and will be a fully qualified practitioner in November 2023.

Celia began her career at Priory Hospital Altrincham as a bank addictions therapist, working alongside a dedicated team of addictions therapists for a year before being successfully appointed as a permanent member of the therapy team.

In 2021, Celia became the deputy lead therapist for the addictions service at Altrincham, assisting the addictions manager in the delivery of high quality treatment and programmes, embedded in an evidenced-based philosophy, and supported by NICE guidelines.
