About

Dr Cheesman is a consultant psychiatrist with over 20 years’ experience of working in the NHS, including in the role of clinical director. He has dual accreditation in both old age and adult mental health and is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of functional mental health conditions and dementia. Having worked as an NHS consultant in both inpatient and community services, he has a wide expertise in managing mental health, particularly in older patients.

He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, as well as having a BSc in psychology and postgraduate qualifications in Research, Mental Health Law and Teaching. He also has an NHS Leadership Academy Award in Executive Healthcare Leadership.
