About

I am a senior consultant psychiatrist in general adult psychiatry and eating disorders. I am passionate about providing high-quality patient care and I work collaboratively on treatment plans, based on evidence-based medicine and patient preference. I have expertise in depression, anxiety, personality disorders, PTSD, OCD, and bipolar affective disorder.

I have a special interest in eating disorders and have worked as a medical director for a specialist inpatient eating disorders service in London. I aim to offer a thorough psychiatric assessment with diagnostic clarity and an individualised treatment plan.

I am keen to get feedback from my patients as part of clinical practice, to continuously improve what I do. Some examples of the positive feedback I get include:

  • Very kind and made me feel at ease with the situation
  • Very nice and helpful information given
  • Came away with a really clear plan
  • Took my concerns about ASD seriously
  • Has been pro-active in listening to my needs and wants for my treatment plan
  • Always has time to see me and listen to what I want and need, which is very important to me. If it wasn't for Dr Ramesh’s input, I wouldn't have got where I am today. He helped me to get better and for that I can't thank him enough
  • Very appreciative of the help and support offered to date, despite my ongoing difficulties fighting this mental illness and struggles with full successful engagement and recovery
  • Ramesh has been great! Very informative and very helpful! Thank you Ramesh!
  • Ramesh is a very polite, warm hearted man, who is very good at his job and is one of the best doctors I've been to
