About
Dr Veena Math is a consultant psychiatrist and holds practising privileges at Priory Hospital Glasgow.
She has over 20 years’ experience in psychiatry, with 16 years as a consultant in general adult psychiatry. She has worked in both the NHS and independent health care settings.
Dr Math is also appointed as a medical member of the mental health tribunal for Scotland.
In addition, she previously worked as part of the UK neuroscience medical team of a global pharmaceutical company.
Training
Dr Math graduated from the University of Edinburgh. She completed basic training in Psychiatry in Glasgow, and higher specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry in the West of Scotland. She has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) since 2003, and became a consultant psychiatrist in 2007.
