About

Gean is a trauma-informed, strengths-based, systems psychotherapist. She is a survivor of childhood trauma and neglect herself, and began her healing journey at the age of 21.

Gean has been working in the mental health field since 1997. In addition to her work as a trauma-informed psychotherapist, Gean also uses her own journey of recovery and healing, to enable others to understand themselves more, and to help others feel less alone, to feel validated, and to encourage.

She offers tried and effective ways to treating childhood trauma. The journey to recovery from childhood trauma, abuse and neglect is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is Gean’s aim to support, encourage and help others heal. She believes childhood emotional wounding does not have to be permanent.
