Hazel has worked for over 10 years in the NHS using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) within an improving access to psychological therapies (IAPT) setting, and currently works as the clinical supervisor in one of the Surrey-based services.

Hazel has extensive experience in assessing and treating people with common mental health problems, and also has further specialist training on working with people who have long-term health conditions, including diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chronic pain, medically unexplained symptoms (MUS), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Position at Priory

Hazel’s previous roles within Priory include delivering one-to-one therapy and facilitating CBT groups.

Hazel is currently a sessional CBT therapist and has been in this role with Priory for over 2 years - providing online therapy sessions only.

Qualifications

  • BSc (hons) Psychology from Reading University
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity (CBT) Interventions
  • Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity (CBT) Interventions
  • Fully British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredited: membership number is 140412.
