About

Helen’s philosophical approach to therapy is primarily person-centred. It strongly emphasises the development of a trusting, non-judgemental and empathic therapeutic relationship. The person-centred approach stipulates that the quality of the psychotherapeutic relationship is a key predictor for effective outcomes. She is therefore passionate about getting to know her patients and building a strong and trusting working relationship. Helen considers psychological distress through a trauma lens and so, is keen to understand not what’s wrong with her patients but what’s happened to them throughout their life.

Helen also uses an integrative approach to support her patients with a variety of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
