About

Nikki is an integrative therapist trained in a number of therapeutic approaches including interpersonal, humanistic, cognitive behavioural, dialectical behavioural, gestalt, and existential therapies.

Throughout her career she has worked for a number of UK charities including Mind, Cruse, Lifeline and Relate. Nikki became a therapist due to her own experiences of ill mental health as a young person. She is a passionate and dedicated therapist who engages positively with all of her clients.

Position at Priory

Nikki started at Priory in March 2023 as a psychotherapist. She is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and the British Psychological Society.

Training

Nikki studied for her Bachelors and Masters degrees in psychology at the University of Cambridge, UK. Following this, she qualified as a psychotherapist by studying for her levels 2 and 3 certificates and a level 4 diploma in counselling. She is currently undertaking a doctorate in counselling psychology at the University of Manchester.

Research interests

Nikki is currently undertaking research into the experiences of black and minority ethnic fathers on neonatal intensive care units as part of her ongoing doctorate in counselling psychology at the University of Manchester.
