Dr. Vik Watts obtained a scholarship to St. Mary's hospital medical school where he qualified in 1981.
He did his psychiatric training as a registrar at St. Georges Hospital. His further training as a Senior Registrar was at the Maudsley Hospital, London. He worked as a consultant psychiatrist at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield before joining the Priory Hospital North London full time in 1998. He was appointed an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The Royal Free Hospital in 1997.
Dr. Watts has a keen interest in the experience of the patient and consequently the best therapies and therapeutic approaches, which will suit any individual patient. He does prescribe medicines but sees his role as attending to the patient in their entirety and not on a narrow basis.
