Our therapies

We offer a range of accessibly-priced treatment and therapy options to improve your mental wellbeing and improve quality of life. An initial consultation allows us to develop a treatment plan that will give you the support that you need and the results that you’re looking for.

If your GP has already suggested a specific treatment, or you have heard of a therapy that you think could benefit you, please contact us to discuss how we can help.

The therapies that we offer include:

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, action-oriented and problem solving approach which helps you to manage your thoughts, behaviour and mood more effectively.

Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)

DBT focuses on you and how you can learn to understand and accept yourself. It incorporates a mixture of group-based skills training and individual therapy including mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills.

Mindfulness uses techniques that help you to pay attention to each moment as it happens, rather than focusing on the past or future. It teaches acceptance, and helps you to let go of negative thoughts. It also enables you to tune into your own body properly, helping you to identify signs of oncoming depression or anxiety and take steps to prevent it.

Interpersonal therapy (IPT)

IPT is often used to treat depression. It focuses mainly on that difficulties that you may have in relating to others and helps you to identify how you feel and behave in your relationships. When you are able to interact more effectively with others, your psychological symptoms will often improve.

Psychotherapy involves talking to a trained therapist. It gives you the opportunity to look deeper into your problems and can help with a wide range of mental disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia.

Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a psychotherapy treatment used for a variety of mental health conditions including trauma, addiction and anxiety. It helps you to process an emotional experience that you have difficulty talking about. It can remove the stress that you feel around the traumatic event, allowing the memory of it to heal.

Couples and family therapy

Couples and family therapy helps you and your family or partner to resolve issues such as marital difficulties, relationship or communication struggles, helping a troubled child, moving beyond family violence or substance abuse, or dealing with emotional distress such as anxiety or depression.

Behavioural activation

Behavioural activation primarily focuses on changing your behaviours to address problems that you may have. The main goal is to increase your activity levels, prevent any avoidance behaviours and help you to take part in positive and rewarding activities which can improve your mood.
